Another trip down south this week to a nice well maintained golf course in the Surrey countryside, a tree lined course with very quick and undulating greens.
A birdie, birdie finish in the first round saw me finish with a 1 under par 71, six strokes back from the lead which was held by former european tour player Mark Mouland. Although disappointed with the way I played I hung in there despite some very poor golf shots and was pleased to limit the damage and finish in red figures.
The second day proved to be a little more testing not only for the golf but from the three hour rain delay, I had a massive six hours to kill before I eventually got to the first tee, again I really struggled and found myself 3 over par after 10 holes, but like the first round hung in there and was rewarded with three late birdies to get back to level par stood on the 18th tee, however a wet grip and an untimely bad golf swing saw me make triple bogey and finish with a +2 total.
A two week break now is needed before a four week stretch in France which includes Alps Tour, Challenge Tour and Tour school.
